Sport, news, PR & marketing photography and Film
I am a Glasgow-based photographer and filmmaker with a wealth of experience across a wide spectrum of genres. Sport, news, features, PR, marketing – I have a 25-year catalogue of award-winning work that’s testament to my eye for detail and ability to work in the most demanding of environments.
Sport has been my ‘specialist subject’ throughout my career and I’ve been lucky enough to work for Scotland’s biggest media organisations covering some of the world’s most prestigious events.
I graduated from Glasgow College of Building and Printing in 1996 with an HND in Photography and Audio Visual Technology and I used the skills I’d learned there to progress from freelance work with the Clydebank Post, Daily Express, Daily Star and Scottish Sun to become a full-time photographer with Rangers Football Club.
Moving to Scotland’s largest independent publishers in 1998, I was employed by First Press Publishing to cover assignments for Rangers, Celtic, the SRU and Loch Lomond Golf Club. From there I moved to the Daily Record, Scotland’s best-selling daily – and travelling the world to cover some of the world’s biggest events, I quickly established myself as one of the best sports photographers in the country. The stamps on my passport and the hard work I put in have been rewarded with numerous awards and commendations.
Having undertaken a period of retraining, by studying HND
Creative Industries: Television at Glasgow Clyde College, I’m excited to add filmmaking to my portfolio of work – working for business clients, undertaking marketing projects, as well as covering news, features and sport.
